Romantic in Abstraction

Tää viikko meni jälleen matkustaessa. Osallistuin "Romantic in Abstraction" -työpajaan, joka järjestettiin Zingstissä, Saksassa. Työpajan aikana meillä oli kolme eri lokaatiota: Zingst, Greifswald ja Rügen. Siitäkin huolimatta, että päivät oli pitkiä ja olin alati väsynyt, niin silti onnistuin saamaan nipun kuvia joista todella tykkään. Paras juttu on, että tunsin löytäväni uudenlaisen suunnan tai jopa parikin uutta suuntaa valokuvauksen suhteen. Täytyy jatkaa noiden parissa. Haluan löytää enemmän kontrasteja ja epätavallisuutta, kuitenkaan menettämättä herkkyyttä.

Toukokuussa on edessä vielä toinen reissu Zingstiin ja huhtikuussa matkustan Berliiniin (sekin on osa työpajaa), joten mahtavia juttuja on edessä!

This week I participated in a workshop called "Romantic in Abstraction" which was held in Zings, Germany. During the workshop we were shooting in three different locations; Zingst, Greifswald and Rügen. Though the days were long and I was constantly tired, still somehow I managed to push myself and take a bunch of photos that I really like. And the best thing is that I felt I found a new direction, or even a couple of new directions that I want to explore more. I want to find more contrasts. More hard edges and uncanny but without losing the sensitive touch.

In May we'll do another trip to Zingst and in April I'll travel to Berlin (that's part of a workshop too), so fun times ahead!

Kesäkuu Berliinissä, osa 2. / June in Berlin, part 2.

Tässä tulee lisää kuvia Berliinistä! Nyt mulla on enää muutama päivä jäljellä tätä kaupunkia, mutta tuntuu ihan hyvältä. Helsinkiin ja omaan asuntoon on mukava palata, etenkin kun tiedän, että tuun olemaan täällä Berliinissä taas elokuussa. Oon täällä silloin viikon ja sen jälkeen lähden johonkin uuteen suuntaan!

Here's more photos from Berlin! Now I only have a couple of days left in here, but I feel good about it. It's nice to go back to Helsinki as I already miss my apartment a bit and anyway, I'll be traveling again in August. Then I'll come to Berlin for a week and after that it's time for a new direction!
