Pintoja, heijastumia, valoilmiöitä ja mustavalkoisuutta. Taas kerran musta tuntuu siltä etten osaa olla ottamatta valokuvia. Niitä kun on joka puolella. Maailma on yksi ehtymätön valokuvallinen mahdollisuus; leikkikenttä josta voin löytää palan jotakin joka vaikuttaa epätodellisuudelta tai fiktiolta.

Surfaces, reflections, light phenomena and black & white. Once again I feel that I can't be without taking photos. They are everywhere. The world is an endless photographic possibility; a playground where I can find a piece of something that seems unreal or fiction.

Poetics and Politics of Documentary Film

Jälleen yksi työjuttu - valokuvia Poetics and Politics of Documentary Film -konferenssista, joka järjestettiin koululla tämän viikon alussa. Nautin tosi paljon ton tapahtuman dokumentoinnista ja penkkirivien välissä ja lavan ympärillä hiippailusta. Se oli tavallaan kuin metsästämistä. Lisäksi oli hyvä, että mun oli nyt pakko käyttää laajakulmaa. Se tuntu tosi mukavalta. Oon jo niin pitkään luottanu vain mun 50mm linssiin, että oli hyvä saada hieman vaihtelua.

Another work assignment - some photos from Poetics and Politics of Documentary Film Research symposium that was held in my school in the beginning of this week. I really enjoyed documenting it with my camera and sneaking between the seats and around the stage. It was kind of like hunting. Plus now I had to use wide angle, which was nice. I've been constantly relying on my 50mm lens for so long, that it felt good to try something else for a change.
